One of the biggest challenges in my work as Instructional Designer is to place the overload of information on a single slide. Usually I make the distinction between ‘Nice to know’ and ‘Need to know’! As a result, I often can shorten a part of the content. But, what if the text is still too large to represent on a single slide?
In this case, the use of a beautifully designed tab interaction is very useful. Tabs interactions are a great way to chunk content into meaningful sections-or tabs-so learners can remain focused in the moment without jumping out to new slides. In the accompanying Freebie, I combined the tab interaction with a move interaction, which further strengthens the use of a single slide.
